Kunst maken is voor mij verzachtend en als ademen. In mijn grafisch figuratieve schilderijen transformeer ik persoonlijke ervaringen in universele visuele verhalen. Kwetsbaarheid en kracht, verbind ik daarbij ritmisch met structuur en textuur. Inspiratie put ik daarnaast uit twee uitersten: de tijd van de Griekse mythologie enerzijds en de toekomstige tijd van realisatie van de VN duurzaamheidsdoelen* anderzijds.

Een vrouwelijk naakt omkleed ik daarom subtiel met sterrenlicht en een gouden draad van Ariadne. En Adonis vervangt de bull van Wall Street. Ik maak universele praatstukken… voor wie zich begeeft op het pad van het moedige gesprek. Op weg naar compassie voor alles van waarde dat weerloos is. Klassiek linnen combineer ik met acrylverf, textiel en garens tot een gelaagd beeld. Met een vleugje magisch realisme wil ik nieuwsgierig maken en mijn vertrouwen in de toekomst delen.

For me, creating art is soothing and like breathing. In my graphic figurative paintings, I transform personal experiences into universal visual stories. I rhythmically connect vulnerability and strength with structure and texture. I also draw inspiration from two extremes: the era of Greek mythology on the one hand and the future realization of the UN sustainability goals* on the other.

I therefore subtly clothe a female nude with starlight and a golden thread from Ariadne. And Adonis replaces the Wall Street bull. I create universal conversation pieces… for those who embark on the path of courageous conversation. On the way to compassion for everything of value that is defenseless. I combine classic linen with acrylic paint, textiles, and yarns to create a layered image. With a touch of magical realism, I want to arouse curiosity and share my confidence in the future.
